USC Pharmacy students have numerous opportunities for international learning and service.
hg体育官网Many are offered through the International Pharmaceutical Students’ Federation:
- Part of the American Pharmacists Association Academy of Student Pharmacists
- Students have been hosted in a number of countries, while USC has hosted students from around the world, including Spain, Turkey, Ghana and Macedonia
- Offers USC students an active way to contribute to the health of another nation through participation in activities that local students are coordinating
- Allows for shadowing of health professionals coordinated by host institutions
In addition to exchanges in clinical environments, USC students have also been placed in industry and government settings, interning at places such as the World Health Organization. And over holiday breaks, USC Pharmacy students have conducted service-learning trips to places such as Jamaica.

USC School of Pharmacy students made a global impacthg体育官网 in Central America where they conducted health fairs and health education programs while providing outreach to a population that lacks these type of services.
Students Raise Public Health Awareness in Uganda
An interdisciplinary team from the USC School of Pharmacy and the USC Institute for Global Health led a week-long public health, leadership and soccer camp in Uganda for more than 1,000 young people.
Students Aid the Underserved in Romania
Carrying 850 pounds of medications and medical supplies, food to share and selfless dedication, a team of USC PharmD students journeyed to Romania where they collaborated with local physicians and pharmacists to deliver much-needed care.
